King Charles Diagnosed With Cancer in February 2024
On February 5, 2024, Buckingham Palace issued an official statement confirming that King Charles III had been diagnosed with a form of cancer. The diagnosis came during treatment for a benign enlarged prostate, but the palace clarified that the cancer was not prostate cancer.
His Majesty began a course of outpatient treatment and was advised to postpone public engagements temporarily. He continues to carry out constitutional and official duties from home.
