The tremendous bang rocked the passenger plane and sprayed flames out of the wing, forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing.
The 159 people on board heard the crash as the Boeing 737 was taking off, and the aircraft was spotted flying from Denver to Edmonton.
The aircraft quickly rose into the sky. Travelers soon realized something was amiss.
According to passenger Scott Wolff, the jet experienced a tremendous shake and a loud blast, but it was still able to ascend.
A massive fireball formed behind it every few seconds as a result of the engine’s backfire.
At that moment, everyone within the aircraft began to experience fear.
As flames started to shoot out of the right wing, footage showed people rushing out of their seats to gaze outside the windows.
Screams echoed through the cabin as the passengers confronted the enormous problem. One passenger, a woman, continued alerting the crew about the fire and the numerous babies wailing over the serious panic that was developing. The aircraft returned to Denver safely and on schedule. Prompt passenger transfers allowed the other plane to depart for its destination.
